Russia will deploy S-400 defense missile systems to Hmeymim airbase in Syria, Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoygu said Thursday.
Russia is deploying S-400 Triumf (NATO reporting name: SA-21 Growler) next generation surface-to-air missile systems to the Hmeymim airbase in Syria where the Russian Aerospace Forces group is stationed, according to Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu.
Russia's President Vladimir Putin agrees with the Defense Ministry's proposal to deploy S-400 missile defense systems to the Syrian airbase.
“By the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief S-400s will be deployed to Hmeymim airbase in Syria to provide comprehensive air defense,” Shoigu said.
On Tuesday, Turkish F-16s shot down a Russian Su-24M Fencer bomber. One of the pilots has been confirmed dead by Russian authorities, shot by rebel ground units after ejecting. The other pilot has been rescued and transported to the Hmeymim airbase Wednesday morning.
Turkey has cited airspace violations as its justification for shooting down a Russian Su-24 bomber on Tuesday. However, both the Russian General Staff and the Syrian Air Defense Command confirmed that the Su-24 never crossed into Turkish airspace, in accordance with precise objective control data.
Russian President Vladimir Putin described the incident as a "stab in the back, carried out against us by accomplices of terrorists."

Who cares about the S400!

They don't even have the balls to flick the radar on when our aircraft are in the air.

We got quite a few aircraft and depth of field!

8 F-18F Super Hornets
1 A330 Tanker
1 B737 AEW &C Wedgetail
1 Globemaster
1 C130J
1 Caribou
7 Seahawks
2 Black Hawk
6 NH-90

Plus 4 ships in the area and one of them has some SAS and Commando regiment onboard! That is why we have so many Helicopters and the Caribou!

That's just Australia. Then add up all the aircraft the USA, France, UK, Jordan and UAE have mobilized (500+ and that is being pessimistic because there are 180 fighters on the 2 American aircraft carriers alone)

So eat your shit old geezer!

You mean the Australians and others, not a naïve moron such as you have turned out to be. Its the usage of " we" that is paradoxical to say the least.

Consistently using " we" obviously elevates your self esteem somewhat.

We because we are many! We are many nations!

There are over 60 nations in the coalition! About 7 of them are militarily active.

Russia is not part of our coalition because we have different end game objectives which do not involve Assad!

I suggest you concentrate on yourself because I know exactly what I stand for and support whereas you don't even have a basic grasp of the situation. For me, the big prize is Assad, not DAESH! You are naive for not even understanding what bought us here!

What the fuck do you know about Assad or Syria. Why on earth should the West insist on removing one bloody dictator to replace with another!!
