It could work in Cyprus. With 300Km range you can go anywhere and return back... and an electricity station in each city would be enough for those cases you can't charge it at home. I am guessing that when the first cars came out their range was limited and that the gas stations were very few.

And low income taxpayers didn't subsidise new cars for the wealthy....

Plus of course the EU would fine us even more for generating the electricity we'd need to fuel them...

Cyprus sits on an ocean of natural gas... This could be the next and big thing in Cyprus ..

What purpose would an electric car have when these are around?

We need to think of the environment and future sustainability. Cyprus sits in an ocean of sunshine. Solar --> electricity!

Leave the Gas/Oil to sell to cold, wet, cloudy countries! :)

(If they have any money ... They do seem to be on the grab ... )

The technology has been around for a very long time.
It was never properly refined and mass produced because trillions would've been lost in the oil industry.
It's always about money.
