Variety I suppose. Good for all those exPats methinks but I don't like Shopping Malls. Hate air conditioning for a start.

- I'll visit, but I'll stick to real higgledy piggledy shops. :)

Oh look, its Meadowhall or the Trafford Centre....home from home for British tourists.

When I go on holiday I prefer to leave that sort of thing at home and see some of what the place I'm visiting has to offer.
I don't want to see Marks&Spencer. Unless I reallllly have to.

Think ill go shopping with GiG in the higglety pigglety local shops

Rubbish.
When your burning desire to convert Cyprus into the 3rd world sh**hole you so desperately want to see in order fulfill your exotic retirement dreams subsides, the better for you.
You can't have it both ways.

You folks want an unspoilt, undeveloped dreamland..... then bitch and moan about the low standards because you can't get 'English' products, or the 'English' driving standards, or 'English' governing standards.

But when there's the first sign of progress, you're the first to complain!!!!

OK - :D We'll go to the 'Dark Legion Store' 8) 'cos I know you love motorbikes (Never ride faster than an Angel can Fly!) and then we'll meander through the old town jewellery shops where you always get a good price with real rialia. :D

There's a difference between progress and building Little Britain
Don't get me wrong, there's nowt wrong with a bit of glitz and glamour to go shopping in, its just so generic and not that stylish. It's very rarely I step foot in places like that here. You have to have a healthy balance of old and new, or the new just takes over and kills off anything local that might be trying to flourish.

Cap, I'm not the typical Brit. It's a shame you tar me with that brush. Retirement? Frickin Nora I was kind of planning to be there well before then!
