It's a difficult one, Hillary will no doubt continue the policy of lifting the blockade which leaves my Cuban friend free to enter Cyprus whilst Trump will clamp down.

This guy could just make it first past the post ...... why don’t the MSM concentrate on a common sense speech like this, instead of what he said in a stolen conversation 10 years ago and his so called ‘love affair’ with Putin.

Still talking about the MSM are we? This from someone whose views about the European Union are lifted verbatim from the Daily Express.

Never slow at coming forward to try and stick the knife in are you? I very rarely read the Express and NEVER lift from them verbatim as you suggest. (Maybe you would like to tell me where you get that idea from?) , I much prefer the easy format of the Daily Mail (designed for dummy's). It is an easily read and reasonable index to what is in the news ...... providing you don't take the content too seriously.

Seeing as how you have bought up the EU. To update you on the healthcare issue. My information is that nothing will change for those ex-pats already in receipt of State healthcare on their S1 (E121). We are now even getting private consultations outside the MoH system, as it cannot cope with all the Cypriots that can no longer afford the Private Medical Insurance premiums. We were in the hospital yesterday ........ only saw one other couple who were ex-pats, most were older Cypriots. So it is not ex-pat pensioners that are burdening the system

I have nothing but admiration for the medical treatment here and can only express my gratitude to the Cyprus MoH in providing an excellent service. :)

p.s. This video was actually posted by Pail Craig Roberts ..... one of those lying independent thinkers you seem to dislike so much!

I personally would not like to see either of the two as President but of the two I dislike Hillary the least.

In the meantime a cynical 1920's quote from H.L. Menken
When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I dislike both of them as well but in my book Clinton is downright dangerous and could start WW III. Trump is just a loud mouth and will be far easier to 'divert' as he is basically a loaner .... albeit one with lots of money. Hillary is simply the mouth piece for others and it is not her you have to reason with but those behind her ... and we don't even know who 'they' are in most cases. I think Menken's description fits either

I see that Hillary has engaged the services of Michelle Obama in her quest to occupy the 'White House'.

I wonder if anyone noticed the furtive presentation of the 'Black Power' (clenched fist) which Michelle made whilst seated adjacent to Hillary as the plight of the 'Afro Caribbean' populace was under discussion.

The right arm was outstretched (at low level) and there was no doubt about the significance of the meaning of the gesture which probably escaped the notice of those who had become influenced by the fact that their 'First Lady' was about to address them in support of 'The Clinton Campaign'.

American 'Presidential Campaigns' are an excellent insight into the mentality of the American public, if I may be so bold, may I describe them (overall) as "As daft as a bunch of Bollocks?" and THAT is putting it mildly.

Michelle should not have been anywhere near the rostrum, Obama should not have allowed Her to exhibit such a close allegiance to Hillary since such association (as seen) is only 'Grist for the Mill' to those who are already voicing the opinion that the vote will be 'Fixed'.

The sooner Obama, his 'Black Arse' and the 'Black Arses' of his family are out of the 'White House' the better.

Hillary mentioned that Michelle would miss her 'Vegetable Garden' at the 'White House', if that be the case, perhaps the Obama tribe (if they miss the colour 'White' and the process of 'Growth'), might do well to think about getting their 'Black Arses' back into the 'Cotton Fields' where they belong........ they could ALL dance around the fluffy little 'White Cotton Buds' till their hearts are content AND, leave the important stuff in the civilized world for the 'White Man' to sort out.

The 'Afro Caribbean' is not quite ready to integrate, far too much 'Chip on the Shoulder' for MY liking, maybe those who do not wish to man the 'Cotton Fields' might be better employed in 'Timber Yards', there they could carry their 'Chips' and do a day's work at the same time.

In all fairness, voting in US Elections is voluntary not mandatory. It's a different system where the 2 parties need to engage and inspire voters to actually participate and vote.

That's the reason why their politics are often emotive. It's pretty damn difficult getting the population in a state where it engages with the political system and votes.

It's only natural that the Democrats would try to engage and African, Hispanic and Female voters given the circumstances and the rhetoric emanating from Trump.

Michelle's speech is important for engaging with female voters. The aim of course is to get as many females to vote because if they vote in numbers, the majority of votes will undoubtedly boost Hillary rather than Trump.

Even some staunch Republicans will be voting for Hillary. Even some Republican senators have refused to endorse Trump.
