Are these the same rebels that Trump knows nothing about?

Trump knew nothing before he was elected.

Now he knows everything! And mum's the word except when talking to Australian diplomats that is.

Have I been wrong in anything so far? No of course not! Now use your head for once!

Actually, you have been wrong on just about every thing so far. You just refuse to recognise the fact.

Oh .... so it is only Australia and the US now ... is it? Get real ...Australia is a contractor .. no more than that.

BTW,

News is filtering from the USA. Trump has had preliminary discussions with Australian Diplomats. There is going to be a request for the USA to mobilize another 50,000 troops in Australia in preparation for Freedom of Navigation work in the South China Sea and as a fulcrum to South and North Korea and to contain Chinese influence.

This doesn't look like an insular USA!

Unfortunately for you Robin Hood, I have been proven right in virtually everything I have said so far.

You under-estimated the Coalition and over estimated Russia's capability to say the least. The Coalition made no such mistake.

Have a look at who is moving and who is bogged!

I have and for your information ........... the Iraqi forces in Mosul have a very small foothold in some Eastern Suburbs of Mosul but progress has been slow. Most of the progress has been made by the Kurds to the North and North East of the City.

Your 'well trained' proxies are also committing war crimes and taking revenge on civilians they 'think' might be Daesh or sympathisers. And of course, the civilian death toll rises both from US coalition air attacks and from ground attacks from the Iraqi Military, killing Daesh' civilian hostages.

You may have noticed from the news, that Syrian aircraft have resumed the air/ground offensive in Aleppo and the Russians are bombing in Idlib and other locations where there are arms dumps and control centres. Mostly using cruise missiles but also air attacks from Kuznetsov ..... you know that 'aircraft carrier' that had no pilots!!!

So from the Assad/Russian point of view, when YOU stop providing arms to mainly foreign terrorists, things should pick up and they will be able to deal with Daesh too.

Oh dear, USA will take all Muslim Illegal Asylum Seekers from Australian Detention Centres.

The P8 Poseidon just entered RAAF service today and the yanks want to station more troops in Australia.

How wrong can you blokes be? Stop embarrassing yourselves!

There will be 100k US Military personnel in Australia from next year under Trump.

Yeh that's right, Trump is planning on boosting America's international presence in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Europe.

Wrong again!

Staffan de Mistura: "regime change is inevitable and the Russians accept that"

If it isn't that old and it is proof that the Syria Group are actually talking about a Federal Solution as one option.

And the BBC link above is only 3 days old and in it is an admission that Russia has divulged to Staffan de Mistura that they are happy with regime change or transition as we as fresh elections under UN Auspices as long as there is no power vacuum.

Miltiades, I have been telling you for a long time now. There is no way Assad can rule over the people of Syria and maintain peace and security. It's not a position held only by the Coalition but it appears Russia does not want a decade long war in its client state.

In the end, the superpowers look after their interests and Assad is also interfering with Russian interests let alone the. Coalition. Pootin will bury Assad eventually once the Swiss Cheese holds line up.

I take it you mean’ The Friends of Syria Group’? Which is a group initiated by Zarcosy and set up by the USA and seems to be now comprised of 11 States that are mostly (9 of the 11) coalition members. So impartiality is hardly a consideration.

Russia always has been content with regime change providing the decision is that of the Syrian people. So this is nothing new .... it is historic fact. They have never accepted enforced regime change dictated by the US and its partners, nor does the UN.

BTW: Your link to the HARDtalk interview does not work outside the UK apparently .... although I did watch the programme live and Mistura came down firmly on the side of Russia to the annoyance of Sackur. :D

Miltiades, I have been telling you for a long time now. There is no way Assad can rule over the people of Syria and maintain peace and security. It's not a position held only by the Coalition but it appears Russia does not want a decade long war in its client state.

As the Russians have always said .... who rules Syria is the decision of the Syrian people .... it has sod all to do with the US and its coalition. The war would never have started had it not been for the US’s determination to change the regime in Damascus and thought they could use the US armed Islamic terrorists to do the fighting for them. :x

In the end, the superpowers look after their interests and Assad is also interfering with Russian interests let alone the. Coalition. Pootin will bury Assad eventually once the Swiss Cheese holds line up
.

Assad is the only one that stands a chance of stabilising Syria and taking on the task of recovery, at least to some semblance of what it was before the US stuck its oar in. The majority of the people living in the Government controlled areas ... that’s 70% of the population ..... recently voted overwhelmingly to return Assad as their elected President and that is what I would expect to see when they are in a position to repeat the process under the auspices of the UN. :)
