How does illegal occupation equate to giving them for free, and for no reason, the 20% you keep harking on about?

Is getting the 17% of our land back no reason to you? Because without an agreement we will not get any of that 37% back.

The Orams was not a case at the "Property Commission". That was a case brought against EU citizens who had property in another EU country. That method can only be used against similar cases (e.g. British people who live in occupied Cyprus and have property in the UK). But it has been 6 years since that case and we haven't seen another case like that.

Several 1000s GCs applied to the "IPC" in the north and more than 600 of them have already settled by selling their properties to the Turks.

Omirou can say whatever he wants. We are not getting even a centimeter of our land back just with words.

If the majority were happy to get back 17% it would have happened ages ago. Cypriots want a whole Cyprus. 100 % .

Frankly, you're the only "GC" I currently hear say they want only 17% back!

Not true. It was an EU recognition of Cypriot court rulings. Once established, it is precedent - and no one else needs to test it again.

I do have to add that Omirou likes to make "big" statements but has neither the political clout nor charisma of our good old giatros theos makarisei ton.

With the Annan plan 24% voted for a solution that would give us less than 8% back and on top of that we would be downgraded to a community. Double the amount of land returned and remove the problems of BBF and you will see that the majority will accept it.

What exactly is "not true". What you said was not true and I corrected you. More the 600 GCs have sold their properties to the Turks and 1000s more applications are pending at the Turkish "IPC"

You do not speak for our parliament!

Did I try to? Omirou has as much power as you and I have. He is just somebody talking. He doesn't have the power to get rid of Turkey.

Thank god for your parliament/government. Thank god our leaders are negotiating with sensible people that know and respect our islands history instead of you racist Turk/TC hating pack of hyenas.

People that would rather choose a BBF rather than a 80:20 split remind me of those people who can not afford to buy brand-name items and they prefer to buy fake replicas instead of buying a less prestigious brand which is actually better than the knockoffs. A BBF is the worst kind of partition with the label "unification" printed on it.

And then there are those losers whose only joy in life is to dream about the things they would do once they win millions in the lotto. Or they dream that they will become Superman or the next Alexander the Great or whatever else impossible can exist only in their dreams. The only joy for such people like GreekIslandGirl is their dreams so they get very upset when they are served some doses of reality. Denial is apparently their only way of coping.

You are getting very desperate, turkish boy, to tell the Cypriots what to do despite it not being what they want to do.

Sounds familiar?

How many turks have posted here telling us to give the turks 20% or 15% or 10% and then Turkey will be happy and leave us alone!

Pull the other one .... :P

Good point ioann. If the pack of racist, Turk/TC hating hyenas are a good representation of GC's then a split is the only solution.
