oh please vote for Boris - sure way to get a general election, and we can get a LIB DEM PM -

Frankly, I am torn between a desire to see this bunch of clowns and buffoons exposed by being put on the spot and left to do what they are incapable of doing, and making sure that the clown does not get his prize in this little Bullingdon Club game.

What Mr Farage said in July 2014:

Nigel Farage has been criticised after saying MPs should be paid £100,000 a year.

The Ukip leader said Members of Parliament would be entitled to “a bit more money” if Britain withdrew from the European Union and powers were returned to Westminster.
...

If we had a sovereign parliament that actually ran this country

...

So, yes Nigel, you want sovereignty to reside in Parliament in Westminster, and that is our constitution. Let Westminster decide, not a fringe far-right party that garnered 12.6% of the vote at the last election and returned one MP (the latter, to his credit, publicly distanced himself from his party’s infamous nauseatingly rascist and also irrelevant poster).

It appears that Beijing is now reassessing whether it wants to align itself quite so closely with the UK:

For Beijing, cosying up to Britain guaranteed it an enthusiastic cheerleader within the EU and a gateway to the bloc, as well as a means of projecting Chinese power, influence and technology around the globe.

Singapore’s third-biggest lender has suspended the issuing of loans for London properties and another has warned customers to be cautious, citing uncertainties caused by Britain’s vote to leave the European Union.

United Overseas Bank announced it was warning customers to be careful about such purchases in the wake of Brexit because of the uncertain outlook.

“We will temporarily stop receiving foreign property loan applications for London properties,” a UOB spokeswoman said in an email.

Please don't insult us all, mate. Remember that 16,141,241 people, 48.1% of the total, voted to remain (myself included). Remember that 70% of those under 30 and 75% of those aged 18-22 did not fall for this codswallop. Remember also that 30% of young people are not registered to vote, and many who are didn't - their fault I know - but do the sums and you will see the drastic consequences. Some of us are weeping over our country's predicament.

sooooo funny read ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident

Not so funny if you happened to be one of the millions that died as a result of this incident i.e. WWII. I think you have a damaged sense of humour! You are sooooo sick! :x

I still have health cover .... I checked!

happy to read any website that says that .
there are NO UK agreements within the EEA regarding healthcare
http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcare ... ction.aspx

Moving outside the EEA
You will not be covered for healthcare paid for by the UK if you are going to live permanently outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

If you are living in an EEA country or Switzerland and you receive a UK State Pension or long-term Incapacity Benefit, you may be entitled to state healthcare paid for by the UK. You'll need to apply for a certificate of entitlement also known as an S1 form. A EU FORM

I didn't get my information off a web site ..... it came from the horses mouth ..... Cyprus Ministry of Health.

UKIP are NOT a "fringe" party.

If the UK had a more democratic election system, they would have had 83 MPs in the Commons.

Near my store there is a store run by a lovely English family but typical of the many who actually believed the
fictional nonsense spouted by Farage and co. I have always been friendly with this lovely family and have always, and still do, enjoy excellent relations. Prior to the referendum I often discussed with them the prospects of either staying or leaving the EU. A persistent quote by them was " Our NHS will benefit to the tune of 350 million weekly by exiting the EU. Most of all repeatedly they would argue that " We want our country back". After the referendum results I ....congratulated them on their victory, but after the abysmal result by the English team I couldn't help agreeing with them that indeed We now have our country ....back!!
Tim I have lived in the UK for 55 years, was married to an English lady for nearly 50 years. I got to know the English relatively well and have drawn my own conclusions as to their weaknesses and their strengths. None more potent that their willingness to accept " facts" given to them by whoever happens to be the flavour of the month. Take for instance the number given by " official" statistics on the number of muslims in the UK. A few years back it was stated as 1.6 million, now it is " officially " stated as 2.8 million. If one was to logically examine these figures one could conceivably arrive at a figure of more than 10 million!!
If you would like me to elaborate on this I shall do so.

OK. But that's our constitution. We have first-past-the-post-elections and this is the parliament that we have and the parliament that Farage said he was fighting to 'bring sovereignty back to' (not that it ever lost it as it has the right to invoke Article 50 of the by-now famous treaty).

If you want some anecdotal evidence that runs in the opposite direction, my sister has just returned from the Glastonbury festival and she says that everybody there was in pure shock over the result, little groups of complete strangers were congregating together to mull over what had happened and the things they were saying chimed in exactly with my posts over the past few pages and the refrain she heard again and again was, "The Conservatives have destroyed our country." My sister works at a university and she says everybody there, staff and students, were enthusiastic remain supporters. What really gets my goat is the way this result is being portrayed as some kind of overwhelming victory that reflects the clear will of the British people, when it does no such thing. It bears out what all of the polls have showed for months: this issue has split the whole country down the middle, there is deep division and there is close to a 50:50 split between those who wanted to remain and those who wanted to leave. I am very familiar with the died-in-the-wool chauvenistic right-wing-tabloid-indoctrinated little Englander mentality that you describe, but there are also plenty of people in the UK with far broader outlooks.
