In the municipal elections the parties that support the government elected most of the mayors including the mayors of the most important municipalities like Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Strovolos. In Nicosia Eleni Mavrou was elected with 34.93%. Anna Maragou received 32.17% and outgoing Mayor Zambellas 27.32%. In Limassol Andreas Hristou was elected with 55.14%. Eleni Theoharous got 44.86%. |

The voting system needs reforming; there is no support for EU citizens whose Greek is not good enough to understand the instructions on how to vote.
After all, we are meant to be part of the EU - that means that we have adopted EU laws and that other EU member state citizens who live in Cyprus have certain rights now.
One person who was running for councillor in Konia village was even criticised for informing new voters on who represents which political party...

| Yes those. The Ecologists also support the government but I don't think they were part of the deal in this elections. |
