Hope you are not including old Miltiades in this one Kikapu !!

Oh no, not you Miltiades. There are much bigger "fish" than you, that deserve "frying". I hope you will approve their demise as well, as you have done with Saddam's. You know, a criminal is a criminal who commits crime against humanity, and some of our Western leaders, are / were, no better than Saddam.

I'm planning to come in late March or early April for 2 weeks with my girlfriend. We'll be in the RoC most of the time, travelling to many places as possible, and also cross into the "TRNC" if "conditions" allow it.

I will be asking for advice from forum members in the New Year for this trip. I have already been offered advice now and later if needed, by a prominent forum member already.

I will introduce myself as a TC where ever I'll go, and will want to see, how I will be treated by the GC's, from restaurants, to hotels, to taxi drivers. I will document all reactions and will let you all know, at a later date.

Will you two stop hogging this thread with your reminiscences Laughing

For those of you who think that Saddam should languish in jail for the rest of his life, I feel its wrong to do that, as he still has supporters (God knows how!!) and we all know how fanatical these people can get, with taking hostages etc.

I agree that hanging is to good for him after all the hideous crimes he has committed. Evil or Very Mad

I would have voted for the Tudor method of killing and hang, draw and quarter him. Then drag his body through the streets of Baghdad and let people get at him. There would probably be not much left after that.

Oooooo I feel better for that Laughing

Cool more people have died in iraq as a result of American actions during and after the "war" and by the vacuum created by the american inability to have a post war reconsruction policy than Saddam and his henchmen murdered. we banished napoleon to elba, we allowed Idi amin to live in exile after his reign of terror (including canniblism) and up to now did nothing about the MILLION people murdered in Rwanda...and of course pol pot. but im slightly uneasy about the speed with which Saddam was executed. Dont forget he was backed by the American Government to overthrow the exisitng rulers at that time because it suited America. They Bankrolled him Just like they did Osama bin laden. it was only when he bit the hand that fed him that America turned against him.....perhaps Bush should also have joined him on the scaffold?
Two things told to me by an old soldier.........American foreign policy is like Midas in reverse - Everything they touch turns to s**t !
and : during the war when the germans bombed the english hid....when the english bombed the germans hid.......when the americans bombed - Everybody hid!!
