Hallo Twinkle,
thanks, it is fine to notice, that motorcycle-drivers ( and their woman!) are friends everywhere. I am glad about all informations. I did not know that there could be a problem driving with a hired bike to north Cyprus. But I would be very glad when somebody could tell me the contact adress of some motorcycle-rent-firms in larnaca. I only know Anemajia and A&D, but both have no website to see the bikes , A&D has only one 350CCM DR to rent ( I also would take this) Somebody knows if the bikes there are ok ?
Thanks again for all help!

Sokrates

P.S.

Greetings to all HD-drivers there. I had a Electra-Glide in the year 1975 and I had 10 great years with this machine.

Again same argument ,
Sokrates dont beleive you will have problem in north cyprus to take your bike overthere . They just dont want you go north because such a nice place and you will not want to come back .

All you have to do you have to pay £10 on the door insurance . because south cyprus insurance not covered in North . I know 100s of people people crossing over from south to north with renta cars and bikes. Rentacar company might tell you dont take it north but not because its illegal because they dont want you go to north.

Again gavcom I will repeat the same warning that you rubbished on another thread.

Sokrates be careful because the insurance you can buy at the checkpoint on the turkish side is only third party and therefore can be very expensive to sort out if something goes wrong.

Bill, I am sure you can bring your classic bike to Cyprus. We have 2 classic bikes in our classic vehicle club. If interested let me know and I can pass on to you emails of these guys who will help you.

We've used Rainbow in Ayia Napa for bikes .
We rented a 600cc (or it may have been a 650cc) Suzi Freebird I know this is sports tourer and not a trials but it did us fine going up and down the mountain.... And I know you asked for Larnaca area but Marios at Rainbow will deliver either to airport or your hotel

Socrates, take note of Bill's warning. You will only be covered for third party if your go to the occupied areas. However, some hire companies stress that you must NOT take the vehicle over!!!!

Gav......stop it!!!!!!

Thanks for all the infos! With your help now I found some rent-stations (in Ayia Napa). I will contact them.
There is that problem with the "third party insurance" but it doesn't help, .... when I want to go there I have to akzept this. Also thanks to careylynn , I have contacted ecotourismcyprus and will stay there few days!
