Postby amanda247 » Wed Apr 11, 2007 8:31 pm

I am visiting Cyprus this Sunday for two weeks. Can anybody tell me how much it costs for 200 cigarettes for any brand. Thanks

Hi amanda.

I smoke Rothmans royals. They're about £15.75 from supermarkets. A

packet of 20 from local kiosk is £1.75.

I remember them being £6.50 duty free. Can you still shop duty free from England?

I can remember when they were £4.80 duty PAID.

As far as I know, you can't buy duty free.

No you can't. Not since CY joined the EU.

I think that is only for passengers arriving from a non-EU destination.

Hi observer

I am not certain, but I believe they are available to everyone; they are not actually Duty Free, but I believe they reduce their profit margins so they equate to DF prices.

But I could be wrong.... :-)
