lena, sometimes you are so young and so niave....
don;t worry, i still like you. :-)

Thanks for the compliment GG...at least even in my few years on this planet I learn not to trust so much others opinion unless I know them very very well or else try to get/shape my own opinion...on people, places etc. What is good for some is bad for others....etc.

But dont worry GG...I still like you as well! :D

So you have 2 stories that contradict each other. Maybe you should risk it and decide for yourself. A lot of people from the USA get treated badly because when they visit foreign countries they have that I am entitled attitude that a lot of us living here carry around. I think if you go somewhere with an open mind and without a "i am better than you" attitude stack on your forehead you will enjoy it. Whether that be Cyprus or North Carolina.

Lolz interesting topic…..

The topic was about racism in Cyprus and someone made his honest opinion about Cypriot attitude. then funny way some diverted the whole thing and started some totally unrelated issues and attacking the poor guy and his culture!!!

What a way prove a point …..

Did you by any chance have a date that didn't go well with a British lady last night? You don't seem to like them very much today.

First of all its not “cypruit” its “Cypriot” you were in Cyprus for 8 months at least you should know how to spell it correctly.

I have to disagree with you that all Cypriots are racist! Mostly they are not. If you get to know them they are really friendly and helpful people. Yes there are some who thinks they are more ‘civilized’ just because they drives a bmw or wears Gucci and have a bit fairer skin color than you…..the girl you mentioned simply an ignorant idiot, but like all other countries you can find these kind of snobs everywhere! but its wrong to accuse the whole nation because of one idiot (yes it goes for America as well !)

It might be a shock for you because in Bangladesh n India those types of snobs used to live in the backward villages who were illiterate but rich and struggling to showoff wealth n class ! same here, but in Cyprus the problem is those type of snobs still exists and lives in the cities and drives bmw, showing off their thick gold chains! and thinks they r ‘civilized’ because they can afford to hire a Sirilankan maid for peanuts who usually more literate then they r ! thanks to all those tourist money from all those ‘more civilized’ countries !
