To be honest i DO NOT want to be assimilated with anyone, nor i feel like i am going extinct, i will NEVER leave the TRNC!
And even IF i was going to be assimilated, Turkey would be a much better choice than the RoC, don't you think?!

Whether I like it or not,or you like it or not,TRNC is not recognised by the UN or the EU...The internationally recognised government of Cyprus is doing what she can to stop the TRNC from taking part in any international activity recognised by the UN and/or the EU.They cannot afford to be sentimental about this point which the RoC government sees as vital obviously. Why do you keep rubbing it in? Try to put yourself in the "other" side's shoes...Would you be acting any differently???

And at Askimwos:
On another forum I know, where people are generally more mature about this whole thing would actually tell the truth. They would say, "what a bloody shame and the RoC are totally wrong to try and get in the way of the good things that come out of this island".
How many of you are going to wish me a happy birthday in December. Or would you rather I were dead. One is a good thing the other......Well you decide.
If there is another disaster I think the RoC should stop the TRNC helping at all and then we can see what the world thinks of them.
Are any of you willing to comment further now? Praise the 36 countries that wanted to thank the helpers for saving lives and preparing to save lives in the future?????????
There is politics and then there is humanity.

I hope you dont mean that Zan. Humanity comes first. Especially in this forum we all prove that. We all pray in our Gods when we heart about Andris daughter, we wish to everyone that feel a bit bad to get well, we give advice when someone need it... But you have to go through to other sections to see that Zan. Politics is part of our lives but not the priority.
You know what. A friends of mine gave me a book to read. Its a novel about a couple and the story goes through from 1945 to 1980 in Cyprus and Australia...She finished it in 1 day...I have it for a week and I love it but I am slow because every 2-3 pages I have to stop and wipe my tears. She is Greek and she knows the history and stuff but she never live close....I born and grow up there, in Cyprus, I have family members in Australia...and the book is great but the pain inside even if I havent been through all of them really hurts.
What is my point. As Cypriots, politics is part of our lives either we want it or not. But humanity comes first. I dont thing any GC or TC now will see a human being in the road who need his/her help and when he/she find out that the other person is TC or GC will not help.

shahmaran wrote:Yeah, and trying to stop an international scientific conference on natural disasters is what exactly?
Putting first humanism or politics? No one, not even 1 GC here commented anything on the contrary but even supported the attempts to stop the conference!
That says a lot actually....

I think we are having a big communication problem here Lena because your points are exactly what I meant by my comments. I just put them more poetically.

Sorry I dont usually spend time to read long posts ...lately I dont have free time...but I will read what you are talking about tonight....Ok if is true is wrong but you have to understand our side. If we accept that is like we say ok do it we recognise the north part of our island as a different country. No Shah...we have to protect our side. Why you look only your benefit. Put your self into our position ... doesnt taste better than yours you know. I am not telling that you are completely wrong in some issues but in others you give the idea of an insane. Especially the flag one!
