Wills and Probate Process in Cyprus

Postby AilsaSp » Fri May 11, 2007 2:35 pm

Hi, I am looking for some information regarding the process of wills and probate in cyprus. Unfortunately my cousin passed away in Paphos early this year and the lawyer he had appointed as executor is really taking her time in handling his estate. I know the contents of his will as i am the beneficiary however i am under increasing pressure by some insensitive family members to see a copy of the will. I believe the grant of probate may be issued now and know that a will becomes a public document when this happens. Can someone please advise if they know which court this would be lodged at, and any address details if they have them,

thanks in advance, alisia :?:

I think that's where all your problems are. Having a lawyer as an "executor" and handling probate as well as other legal matter for your deceased cousin, has too many "conflict of interest" situations, as to why it is taking too long to solve the "will" issues.

I don't have an answer to your actual question however.....sorry.
