Yes or No to Annan's plan - part 2

Postby Noname75 » Tue Feb 17, 2004 12:57 pm

In some weeks we will probably have to vote if we want the solution that the Annan plan offeres or not.

Assuming that the Annan plan remains as it is today would you vote yes or no for it?

In pool there isn't the "I'll decide after i see the plan's last form." choice. But also i can accept Annan Plan as its now !

I vote for "I'm a Tc and will vote for yes." But in real i'll decide after i see last form of the plan after negotations or after Annan fills the points that both sides won't be agreed.Cos we are sure Annan Plan's 26 Feb. form won't continue,Mr. Annan is going to fill the parts that sides had disagreement on them.

"I'm a TC" / "I'm a GC" ! What are you trying to do? Are you trying to satisfy yourself that this plan is quite good for TCs and so so bad for GCs so TCs will say "YES" and Gcs will say "NO"! :?

Anyway... Go on!

And, someone (G/C or T/C) who says "No" to this plan, could you please provide us an alternate solution agreeable by G/Cs, T/Cs, Turkey and Greece?

It's very easy to say "No" to this plan simply because this plan is a finely balanced plan and it contains elements that will NOT satisfy both sides. So anyone can find some reason to say "No" to this plan. But my question is "No to Annan Plan, but Yes to what?"

cheers

How can I vote? I don't seem to have this option.

"We got all we want, its now time to wait ...they will become weeker and we'll give the rights what we want."

No it is more like this:
"They got all they want with this plan. Except from some refugees the rest of us not only get nothing, but we will have to pay on top of that. So, we will just wait for something better"

Something better might be too late for everyone. This problem has been around for 40 years now, don't you think that it's time to solve it? I personally do not want my kids to grow in a divided island. I think it's enough that my father and I grew up in a divided island, and I'll feel ashamed to present a divided island to my children.

I don't know, maybe you're comfortable living in a divided island, and a solution is not necessary for you. But I want to enjoy all parts of my island, I want to hear Greek and Turkish words while walking down the street, I want my children to learn Turkish and Greek again, I want to part of a multicultural island, AT LEAST before I die!

I want those things too, so lets unite the island. Annan's plan doesn't do that, and on top of that creates a lot of problems because it is not functional.
We already suffered enough from bad solutions to learn that a bad solution is worst than no solution.

You can agree with Denktas!  He is saying this too.

Who is right!? Everyone is complaining from the plan ! This plan is bad for both side? Yes ! It has bad points for both sides so who want to get %100 benefit from the plan is declining it ! This is the problem ! That's it !

May be you are economically ok and you feel EU behind you but they are not that reliable. You have all you want and it seems you think if there won't be a solution only in your benefit you don't want a solution. But don't forget none of the solution plan can be %100 benefit of one side.It has to be 50-50% !

So think about what you are going to gain with Annan Plan and what you are going to loose... I'm saying "loose" but not "TCs will gain".

This plan is not 50%-50%.

Dectash is saying what he is saying because he always asks for more and more and more and more and more and more ....

What we ask for is just human rights and democracy. So please don't tell me that I agree with Dectash.
