The story of Mike and John - Action/Drama/Comedy

Postby Greek Cypriot » Wed Feb 18, 2004 4:16 am

Hello John. This is Mike. Remember some years ago that you punched me and broke my tooth? Well then of course I had to bring my dad to rape your mother and sister and steal half of your belongings. I hope you learned your lesson.
The reason I contact you today after refusing to talk to you for so much time is that today I woke up and I suddenly decided that I want to be your friend. Of course it goes without saying that you will take me with you to this new club you just joined so I can take lots of money and buy a ton of new things!!
I see you managed to recover after I stole from you all those things. Unfortunately, I didn’t do very well. I was unemployed; nobody wanted to hire a thief. So now we will be friends you will have to give me part of your salary until I am as rich as you are. Oh, and I forgot my bike to your house, I will need you to pay me rent for all this time you were keeping it without my permission.
However, you know what? I will give you some of your belongings back!!! Yes, you should be really happy! All you have to do, is sign this contract that says that everything else that I stole from you is now legally mine.
In addition, you will have to take my permission for whatever you do from now on. Thats what good friends are for, right?

Two letters from two old friends Part I:

Two letters from two old friends Part I:
--------------------------------------------

Hi Hasan,

Remember me, your old friend Yannis? We used to play together in this beautiful garden. It was big enough for both of us, but I did not like to share it too much, I wanted it all to myself. Since I was older and stronger than you, I pushed you around, I tried to keep you in the corner. I thought one corner was more than enough for your size, and I could have the whole garden to myself.

Later, I realized that one garden was not enough for me. My greediness took over, and I turned to my older brother who had a much bigger garden than mine. I asked his help to combine our garden to his garden, so I could have a bigger garden, for myself and my brother. It would have been more fun that way anyway, my brother and I could together bully you even more.

But, how could I expect that you also had an older brother, much stronger than mine? As we were tearing down the fence, your older brother showed up, and he fixed the fence. He gave us a good punch that we deserved and he build another fence right in the middle of our garden to make sure that we could never bully you again.

It was hard to get used to being enclosed in half of the garden but I managed. Actually I even convinced everyone to believe that I actually own the whole garden.

It's been a while since we're seperated in two parts of the garden. It would be cool if I could have the whole garden to myself again. I still believe that you're small enough to fit in the corner. So why don't you go in the corner of your side and stay there. Then, ask your older brother to tear down the fence in the middle? There's this gang that I'm joining soon, my brother is in it already. Don't worry our gang will protect you. And who knows maybe your older brother will be part of this gang one day? Until that day, you should trust my gang, and you'll be fine.

I hope you don't think that you deserve more than a corner. That's all you're getting, if you don't accept it, fine, I don't care. I'll have my gang to play with anyway, I'm sure they'll somehow help me to tear down the fence anyway.

Your old friend,
Yannis

Two letters from two old friends Part II

Two letters from two old friends Part II:
----------------------------------------------

Dear Yannis,

Of course I remember you, how can I forget an old friend like you? I really want to be able to play in our big garden again. It's getting boring in this small area on my own. Besides, my big brother acts like a wise guy, he expects me to listen his orders all the time. I'm grown up now, and I can choose my own friends.

I want to be friends again Yannis but I still cannot forget how you and your brother treated me in the past. I know you're older and hopefully wiser now but I still need to make sure that you won't hurt me.

Let's make this deal. Why don't we pull down the fence and have one big garden again, like in the old days. But let's make sure that I can ask not to be bothered if I want to. Especially when I sleep at night, I want you to stay on your side. You might think that I'm being paranoid, and maybe it's true. But I want to feel safe.

Once I can trust you again, then we can enjoy all the garden whenever we want. This is just temporary until I feel safe again. You wouldn't deny this from your old friend, would you? You know friendship is above all.

I wish you and your brother never tried to hurt me. It's not nice to hurt the weaker, you know that right? I wouldn't get my brother involved but I had no other choice, what goes around comes around Yannis.

All the best,
Hasan

Hello dear metecyp,

I've heard you posted a letter I supposedly wrote. You made some mistakes transferring it here though, so I will correct you.

First of all, you misspell my name

The garden was big enough for both of us, but Hasan and a couple of his friends had a huge part of this garden and the rest of us were crowded in the rest of this garden. When we told Hassan that this was not fair, Hassan and his friends got pissed off, and they went to the corner by themselves.

In addition, what you said about my big brother is not correct. I didn't ask from him to combine our gardens. The truth is that my big brother was on drugs during that time and he was out of his mind. He actually beat up Nikos and Kostas and many others. The drugs were supplied to him by the "biggest brother of all", the one that supplied drugs to your big brother also. Actually, now my big brother is clean of drugs, while your big brother seems to still use them. I hope he will get over it soon, but some people say he is too addicted and such thing will never happen.

I never asked Hassan and his group to be in the corner. All I asked from him was to bring down the fence and have one garden for everybody. But he wants to keep the fence in place, and he wants a really big part of it, which means the rest of us will have to be crowded in the rest of the space again.

Also, Metecyp, when I talked to Hassan he never said the following to me:

Once I can trust you again, then we can enjoy all the garden whenever we want. This is just temporary until I feel safe again.

Are you sure that Hassan actually said such thing, or it is just what you saw in your dream?

Yiannis.

With this I agree. But all this time you are trying to prove that because of the past, human rights should continue to be violated and democracy can not exist. We are not the ones who are using the past as an excuse (even if you did to us much worst things than we did to you)

How old are you?
If you are saying this to looking your history books i have to say that we have "many things" in our history books. They are not objective of course!

But all this time you are trying to prove that because of the past, human rights should continue to be violated and democracy can not exist.

If i'm saying forget the past this never means we don't need any precaution for new order's stability. There are some fanatic groups among us you know! This precaution is for them! We have to prevent them making our peace island like hell again !

If i'm saying we forgot the past this means we don't have any grudge and hate to you about past events!
