'Pseudo-state "elections"'

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

'Pseudo-state "elections"'

Title is to satisfy certain folk who will no doubt spend an inordinate amount of time debating it otherwise.

I haven't noticed much discussion of the results of the Parliamentary elections in the north. Not having a detailed grip on TC domestic politics, what are the pros-cons of Talat renewing the coalition with DP? Given that he has 24 seats, are there any merits in linking with Akinci to gain the extra seat, or would that run the risk of an informal coalition between DP and Eroglu as a blocking force? Given his stated interest in finding a bizonal, bicommunal solution, could Denktas Jr. keep his credibility in such a situation.

If any of my TC friends, or indeed GC buddies enlighten me I would be most interested in hearing your assessment of these results.

Thanx thrill, I've been away in the sticks for a few days, I'll have a look for the previous thread... unsurprising that it ended up in a slagging match though...
