The demographic Turkification of the north

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The demographic Turkification of the north

Postby Agios Amvrosios » Thu Feb 24, 2005 3:33 am

"The demographic Turkification of the north will soon be complete. Towns and villages such as Kyrenia and Lapithos which stood empty and ghostly until April are now filled with settlers, some Turkish Cypriot, some mainland Turks. The return of the original inhabitants is ruled out, and the Turkish authorities now say quite openly that the remaining 5,800 Greek Cypriots in the north (of a total of 14,500 two years ago) will be reduced by half this Christmas".

This guy likes posting greek propoganda, but that is the actions of someone trying to tear the forum up by pouring this poison all over the forum.

Old news designed to bring up nationalistic tendencies like the EOKA men done back at the core of the cyprus problem.

Seriously,

I figured the North wouldn't be so bad but it is actually worst. People thinking the occupation is a peace opeartion? Or worst, turkcyp's post that he was unware of the fact that GCs were harmed in the North?

C'mon...

mikkie this shit is counter productive and will turn the forum into arena, the past should stay where it is, for the historians, today we should be communicating to resolve our problems for a better future.

This guy is dragging up the past and pulling out all our hate, fear and paranoia which does notrhing but serve the likes of EOKA and TMT.

My position is that we should look into the future, and that we should apply human rights for everybody in a democratic free Cyprus.

However TCs keep bringing the past as an excuse for telling us that we do not deserve to get our human and democratic rights.

So maybe somebody (e.g. Agios Amvrosios) should remind these people that their 1 decade of suffering is nothing compare to the centuries of Ottoman rule, the Turkish invasion (6000 dead in just days) and the 30 years of occupation.

So do you want to leave the past behind and move on for something new were nobody will ever have to suffer again because human rights will be applied to their maximum for everybody?
Or you will continue bringing up your decade of suffering as an excuse to keep violating our human rights?
If you want the second, then you give us no choice from reminding to you the 100 times more suffering that you have caused to us. Would this be protective? No. But somebody should say the truth to those that pretend that TCs are the victims that now have to be reworded, while GCs have to be punished even more.
