Girls Soccer (Football)

Postby MapleLeaf » Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:12 am

We are moving to Cyprus from Canada due to my husband's job. Our daughter currently trains and plays competitive soccer here in Canada; she is 10 years old.

Is there a girls soccer (football) league in Cyprus where she can keep up her training? Are there private soccer clinics where she can be trained? If so, please let me know how to contact this organization. I've searched the net and have found no information on organized girls sports in Cyprus. She would be attending a private school; however, I am looking for a more competitive league rather than school sports.

I would also be interested in private one-on-one training if anyone knows of any professional trainers.

Kind regards...

Try the Bases. Dhekalia or Episoki/Akrotiri. They tend to have more mixed gender sports.

We were leaning towards Limassol. I'm still trying to gather more information, but so far can't find a league for girls. This will not go over well with my daughter.

Thanks for your replies.

My daughter plays in a mixed team at the bases, they run a 5 aside competition twice yearly.

Just joined this forum and found your question. My two boys are english and attend Nikki Football Academy in Limassol. I am a qualified coach working towards my UEFA 'B' and Ihave found that girls football is limited. I am looking at setting up an English type private Academy in the next 6 months.

Regards,

Paul
