tessintrnc, I am so pleased to note that you describe the actions in Iraq as 'Revenge Attacks', for that is most certainly a more apt description of what has taken place than 'WAR' is.
The actions of the US and others, do not warrant the distinction of being referred to as 'WAR' since there was no declaration of it, rather, the actions were condemned by most of the civilized nations of the world from the outset.
The threats of aggression PRIOR to the unlawful attack/invasion/occupation were also discouraged by those nations.
It suits the political leaders to use the term 'WAR' since it conjures up images of opposing forces struggling to advance a just cause.
The shambles in Iraq now illustrate quite the opposite and the people of the world know it.
It will be interesting to see just how the political leaders will extricate themselves from the hopeless position they have placed themselves in, already they are hard at work in trying to shift the burden of responsibility on to the shoulders of the very people they initially condemned.
Have you noticed that there seems to be a distinct lack of media information recently?, I wonder if the reason for that could be connected to the imminent elections, or are we to believe that peace has suddenly found it's feet in that troubled land.
