Talat: 'EP decision is not binding'
According to Turkish Cypriot daily YENIDUZEN newspaper (27.02.05) reports that the so-called Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat said that the European Parliament's (EP) decision on the bills that envisaged financial aid and direct trade for the Turkish Cypriots is not binding. In a statement to the paper, Mr Talat asserted that the Turkish Cypriots securing the support of 250 parliamentarians without having an opportunity to prepare for the voting showed that the way the EP viewed the Turkish Cypriots significantly changed.

didn't you already open a thread about this?yeah its not binding but if the vote went the other way what would Mr.Talalt be saying?yes and the ep feel for you but the for the 259 million not the direct trade, split the regulations and see how many votes you get for direct trade, barely 150.
