Propose and discuss specific solutions to aspects of the Cyprus Problem

Well Belenos, deporting Turkish Cypriots would deprive me of half if not more of my friends. Not a good idea. Try again.

I do not mean genocide of course because that would put us down at their level. Forced deportation would be a much better solution.

Someone once said "the only thing we learn from history is we do not learn from history"...Forced deportation, dear Belenos ??? You mean like what was practised on the Armenian people by the Ottomans during 1915????

I offer you this advice,as a Cypriot of Turkish-speaking background who has lived 40 years more than you have :
Better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you have nothing to say than open it and remove all doubt...

What was practiced on the armenians was genocide, same as they did to pontic greeks, assyrians, syriacs and what they are doing to kurds today. The same garbage they tried to pull on the greek Cypriots.

The turks invaded the island in 1974 and planted some 150 000 turkish anatolians. 40 years? what right does that give you?

Before 1974 18% of the population were Turkish Cypriots who have been in Cyprus for some 400+ years.

Cyprus is our homeland...we are not going anywhere.

Dont deform my words.
I do however disagree with any turkish presence on the island. They infect it, just like they infect our holy lands and now the german nation.

There is ample room in turkey...go home

How, pray, am I "deforming" your words?

When have I ever mentioned genocide?
and how is this situation anywhere near the german situation in 1939?

I think its you who is ignorant and not me...

OK, since you haven't thought your plan through, let me do it for you.
Your plan involves "forced deportation", right?
Good, lets say the first squad of armed black-shirted jack-booted facist thugs set out to initiate the "Belenos" plan. They set out with a truck ready to transport the first consignment of Turkish Cypriots to a concentration camp to await deportation. They spot a group of Turkish Cypriots sitting in front of a coffee shop. They stop, point their guns at the Turkish Cypriots and say, "Get in that truck. We are going to deport you". The Turkish Cypriots tell you to go way and continue drinking their coffees. So you have to back up your threat and kill them. Otherwise, how are you going to ever manage "forced deportation"?
In other words your plan of necessity is based on the threat of genocide, if not the actual commission of genocide.
I am not an expert on Canadian law, but I suspect you could end up in a lot of trouble if you continue to push this theme too far. As other people have already suggested, shut up and devote your efforts to something you are capable of comprehending.

Canada is established by immigration, constant and constant.
It is a new country and a smoothie of cultures.

Cyprus is a 3000+ Island with historical inhabitants and a distinct hellenic culture. You are no cypriot, you are an invader and a pest.

Turkish culture is incompatible with hellenic culture because hellens are all about the arts and the beauty of things, Turks are all about invasion, barbarity and distruction.

Let me ask you this turk, do you deny that if there were no turks in cyprus there would be no conflict? no seperation? no bloodshed?

there is amble room in turkey...GO HOME!

Belenos, welcome . . . Can I foster you as a son? :D

You are very wise for one so young. It's great that you have a burning desire to right some wrongs instead of wasting your time like some other 16 year olds.

Don't let anyone put you off posting by how cruel they can be.

If I can offer you one piece of advice (if I am accepted) as your foster mother, it is to keep reading Piratis, Kifeas and GR!s posts to get lots of historical and numerical data to back you up in the struggle to right the wrongs of the Turks.

Keep up the good work and by the time you are as old as some of us here, you may just have enough skills to ACTUALLY make the difference we need. :D

I guess your right, I didnt think it through. But that still doesnt change the fact that turks (especially turkish army) has no business in Cyprus. If they are not willing to leave than they should stop causing trouble. It seems like only logic that when you go to someones house, you dont start moving things around and breaking things and then wanting more.

Turks are savage, we have seen this before. I think its about time we start learning our lesson.

well thanks, I'm glad to see a greek with some common sense.
Turks arnt your friends dont think that for a second.

if you do than you have failed and your 3000 year old culture will go down the drain.

They have said they were our friends, they said it to the assyrians, and then to the kurds. Learn your damned lesson!

And no one has answered my question.

If there were no turks in Cyprus, would there be such a separation? or bloodshed at all?
