I am not fully in agreement with everything you have written, you are as much entitled to air your views as any other member of the forum.

Perhaps you should be a little less vociferous (or seemingly) in your counters, certainly do NOT lower your stance young man, the fact that you have maintained your dignity throughout is clear proof that you have ascendancy in these exchanges.

Well done, your adversaries are far older but less able to express themselves in an acceptable manner.

In my humble opinion.

Thank you for your post. I was beginning to lose faith in certain greek Cypriots. No matter your opinions I respect you and I would like to hear them in the hopes of (at last) having a real and dignified discussion on the Cyprus issue

Hails brother :)

My ancestors and those of all Cypriots were not Greeks. Alexander the Great was not a Cypriot but a Macedonian Greek . The Cypriots during the Byzantine era were competing and taking parts in numerous activities as Cypriots not as Greeks. I call my self a Greek Cypriot but NEVER a Greek , try and understand the difference , same as that of the Turkish Cypriots and the Turks. My nation is Cyprus , Greece is a foreign country with which our nation shares numerous links but not the heart and the body .If all Cypriots felt the way I do there would be no conflict , there would be no foreign troops and the future of our children and grandchildren would be bright. If they shared your views , there would be conflict and killings , blood would be flowing and wives would be widows , mothers would be crying for the loss of their loved ones , and children would be orphans,
hatred would be intensified and our island would be engulfed in black. Is this what you want punk ??
I'm old enough to remember the struggle against the British , I was old enough to have taken the Oath and contributed to that struggle. What gives an ignorant little sod like you the right to call me a traitor ? Have a wank and go to bed boy .

And that, is why I respect you. No matter how stupid you may think I am. Giving ones life for his/her nation is the greatest sacrifice and I congradulate you.

But Turks are a cancer, and letting them in is the most dangerous thing ever. It will undoubtedly destroy your island. They will spread and eventually engulf you and your culture and Nation.

and I was speaking about the Hellenic culture, not just Cyprus, By alexander, by Byzantium, all of it. You are hellens no matter who you think you are and Greece is a sister nation, your alliegances should like with them...

I think you need to learn who your real friends are.

Tell me what does a cancer do?

It starts small, mostly stays hidden, and then it grows, and grows and grows, and then it becomes extremely harmful and very hard to get rid of, until eventually it engulfs and kills.

Tell me this situation does not relate to the turks ;)

Well I'm sure the Ottomans thought along the same lines in 1915...

Belenos asked the question:

"If there were no turks in Cyprus, would there be such a separation? or bloodshed at all?"

Well Belenos, there were no Turks in Greece in 1946 and the Greeks managed to have a civil war that cost 600 000 lives. Given that the British were there to help them do it, as they were in Cyprus, it is likely that there might have been bloodshed even it the island were totally Greek.

Therefore Nikitas, is it the British that are the common denominator?

A Bus stop country that has better living conditions then 99% of the world. The beauty of Canada is that it is a land of oppurtunity. Being Canadian is like being American, Austrailian, New Zeelander but better. Canada is very diverse which is a plus with much less racism then the latter and the " Bus Stop" nation doesnt bully or invade nations as the latter nations. Who are you to question my feelings for Hayastan?? The reason it is underdevoloped is due to around 80 years of Soviet rule. I may be in disgreement with some of these peoples opinion on the Genocide but when all is said and done just because they dont agree with me doesnt mean they are Grey Wolves. T C has never made a negative comment to me about Armenians, believe it or not most of the Turkish Cypriots on this board dont, with the exception for rricco aka eric dayi.
