Sotos wrote::roll: It doesn't sound at all like the musical Zan posted. And this is a Greek song so it represents Cyprus more than any English song. Maybe you don't listen to Greek music and maybe you don't speak Greek. But this is Cyprus not England. Get used to it and learn some things ;)

The musical is french...The girl singing is dressed as a french tart.....And the score is almost the same but slower.......Any musicians in here that can give us more info......I have a good ear but I have no musical knowledge. Vivre France....

A couple of the notes at the beginning might sound slightly the same but really no where near the same IMO. I personally do not like the song, but then, I have never liked any of the Eurovision songs in the last 10-12 years, and yet some have become very popular (to show how much I understand).
Final conclusion: It looks and sounds something out of an Aliki Vougioulaki movie.

Soto you must be kidding me...i thought it was you that said somewhere that this song is good but not for this competition. Did not hear the other songs to be honest so I cannot judge if it was the best for Eurovision but at least is better that the last one we send. At least this one is in Greek...

For this competition the best would be a song in Russian ;) That would get the most points. But what we should do is to send a good song that represents Cyprus not just some stupid English song that maybe will get a few more points!

Why a Russian song will get us more points Sotos??

As for the rest I agree with you and I guess the judge too since they select Eudokia and it was the only one in Greek.

That song by the way remind me another one (which I cannot remember at the moment) but not the musical that Zan posted...the similar thing between those two videos is the style....in my opinion.

Soto,

This is one time when I have to say you are talking from your kolo (as opposed to soto).

That remark is just pure shit mate and you know it. What the F nationality has to do with anything I never know. You either like some music or you don't. You are just being a typical cypriot arsehole and you make us all look bad.

Get a life mate, no one is trying to take your dummy.

Zan, What you and me like has nothing to do with the fact that a lot of singers, songwriters and lyricists have made a good start from the Eurovision song contest. I personally don’t like ABBA as a group but they have some great songs. The same I think about the Beatles as well, I don’t like them as a band but they were great songwriters. Here are some singers whose careers were boosted by the Eurovision. These are names we have heard, just imagine how many have made it big in their own country and language. I am sure there would be a few Turkish ones as well.

Nana Mouskouri
Matt Monro
Sandie Shaw
Cliff Richard
Lulu
Mary Hopkin
Julio Iglesias
Vicky Leandros
The New Seekers
ABBA
Marinella
Olivia Newton-John
The Shadows
Johnny Logan
Anna Vissi
Celine Dion
Lara Fabian

Get your point mate. Apart from the Shadows album I bought when still a teen and I fancied Olivias like mad the rest do nothing for me but they did well I agree.
