Turkish speaking Cypriots seem to be quite modern compared to other Cypriot communities..
Maronites due to Catholism they are not allowed to get divorced!
Greek speaking Cypriots (not most but some) still want enosis.. in the 50s 60s it could have been a good idea but now in 2008 I really don't think so.. The people of Crete admire Cyprus because it is independent not another ''Greek island''.

Cypriots in general Oracle.. why hate eachother so much We are all Cypriot at the end of the day, we shouldn't let the deed of foreign powers affect our relationship ... we should be working together as a community to promote peace and love to our island.

i couldn't help but laugh at this topic, anyway since this is my first post here.....
you see we cypriots are taboo when it comes to nudism,but when we see a tourist
nude at a beach we all rush behind the rocks to get a good look, and we phone our
friends with a mobile, and after a few minutes its packed with voyuers , and if there is
a woman, we all climb down and get naked to be seen by her.
i think we should have a nude beach in cyprus, we are in the e.u. and most of the greek
islands have them also, and yes we have let deed of foreign powers affect us.

i dont know whats wrong with you people.the guy asked a simple question and look what he gets in replies, like you lot are the innocents.wanting to go nude is nothing wrong if he so wishes,a lot more worse goes on in the south...whoever has heard of the army being supplied with condoms?first time in my life i heard about any army getting supplies of condoms...just proves that the greeks are sex maniacs and thats all whats on there brain day and night...and nudism ..is it such a big deal?
