Leave? And go where? Why would anyone want to leave Cyprus let alone for a country like Australia?!?!

I would rather live in Australia than lets say USA or UK.

Unless you have lived in oz, then you have no place to comment

Put it this way...NOW that I am no longer in Aus I understand how good the place was to me. I mean don't get me wrong, i LOVE Cyprus, but it's the little things that make all the difference!

Enjoy what you have, but always look for better!

I think every country has good and bad points and everyone living there opviously want to get out. Finally if succed then everyone wants to go back because of missing the places that was born and raised. The problem with our island here is stil a closed society and ppl tense to deal with other peoples' lives, which is really annoying, thing that you can't find abroad. Now in my case if i had the opportunity to leave from here i would have emigrate to Greece and come back for holidays only...

that's exactly what i mean Tarama, it's like, i can't stand being here, but i know when i leave, i'll realize that this is my place..... and i think i need that, i think a lot of people need that, just to remind them of what we have and who really cares about us, you know? and how you said about people mixing up with other peoples lives, i absolutely agree...... that's the one thing i didn't like about Cyprus, i remember when i was there, i said to my grandmother, "in Australia we don't know how many pairs of underware each neighbour has, and that's a good thing"..........everyone needs to know everyone elses business...
