i have no clue about the type of dish we have or what direction its facing, but it was here before we moved in. i guess if itv, bbc and film 4 are free view channels my digi dish must obviously facing the wrong direction which is a shame.

I have no access to sky, so all the sky channels are blocked. I believe bbc, the itv went free view about 18 months ago. That's how long I've had them. I just got my local media shop to point to astra 2, 28.8E and hey presto! English tv.

I'm sorry "I'm only a girlie" Teajay ~ but where abouts in Cyprus do you live :? and what size dish are you using :?

Teajay is in Bavaria not Cyprus and she uses a small dish to pick up those channels ..

A couple of years ago it was on PIK 2

Last year it was on either Sigma or Mega.

To be absolutely sure buy the Cyprus Weekly or the Cyprus Sunday Mail on the weekend the race is on and have a look at the TV page.

There you are ~~ sorted .

Ribs still hurting slightly from that one Bill

Correct, got a 1.2 in snowy Bavaria and a 3.0 in Cyprus. As I say, can't digest toooo much detailed technical info, so I know I need a bigger dish the further East I go, to catch the signal, but thought once I caught it, I could view all on that frequency (i.e astra 2d). Please help if I am talkinig total rubbish and enlighten me to understand better........ always willing to learn :)

F1 was on RIK 2 last year and believe it's the same this year. i live out in the sticks near Maroni and have a 2.4 mtr dish, cant get 1 2 3 & 4. have friends with 3 mtr dish and they get most channels for part of the day (night time very hit and miss) If i want all channels will need 4 mtr which is b....y big and b....y expensive, so if you want to watch F1 suggest RIK2 and BFBS sound (five live) but beware as usual, they will drop everything for football.
