Hi,

Is there any one of you know what the basic salary of the following jobs in cyprus:

nurse
nursing aid
caregiver/caretaker
domestic helper

very low.

Nursing in public hospitals pays good, but it would be extremely difficult to get in if you are non cypriot.

Private sector doesn't pay good. I don't know exactly but not more than 350-400 pounds per month.

For domestic helper/caretaker is even lower.

Yes i am not a cypriot but im planning to work there as a domestic helper. I would honestly say that earning a 350-400pounds would be better compared to what i have earned every month here in our country. I don't know if it is a shame to say that i earned a 5year degree course in college and i am working as a purchasing supervisor here in our country and yet the compensation is very low thats why i decided to work in your country as a helper because i have heard that eventhough this is your work the income is 3 times better that what i am earning now. although i know it is beyond or far from my work experience. But i think i have no choice but to go on.
