Ancient Ruins and other touristy bits

Postby Hazza » Mon Apr 11, 2005 9:27 pm

Where's the best place to go to see ancient ruins?

Also, my friends are arriving for a week and they want me to show them the interesting parts of the Island. Any suggestions on where to take them from Limassol? I figured Troodos mountains, Ancient ruins, Waterpark (anyone know where the big waterpark is in Limassol?), they like a good drink so perhaps a trip to KEO brewery, Ladies Mile, Governors Beach.....don't know where else. Anyone have any suggestions please?

Nicosia has a surprisingly interesting history. I took a day-trip there and learned quite a lot. The Paphos mosaics are worth a visit too

Hi Hazza, I can't tell you the exact location of the waterpark in Limassol but you can see it from the Highway. If I'm not mistaken its after the third roundabout when coming from Larnaca. But don't book me on this info...

Hi Hazza,

There are two waterparks in Limassol, the one you can see from the highway, before you reach the first roundabout and the other one which is the bigger and better of the two is called Fasouri and to get to that one you have to take the sea road all the way down to the new port and from there its sign posted.
Do give them a call as I am pretty sure the one off the highway has n't opened yet but I dont know about Fasouri.
Enjoy!! 8)

Thanks for all the info everybody :)

Fasouri is closed until May 4th. Went to the one in Ayia Napa and had a brilliant time there. There were no more than 150 people in the park so we got to go on everything quite a few times.

The Mosaics in Paphos were absolutely awesome. You were 100% right in saying that they are worth a visit!
