Reading the Cyprus Mail today (see below), I am so disappointed that the 'Mafia' and or 'illegalities' exist in the RoC too. How disappointing. Those that live in glass houses........

It was not a feigned concern my dear. I was being sarcastic. And before you use the oft said 'sarcasm is the lowest....' put the emphasis on the final comment. I touched a sensitive point did I?

In reality, these things happen everywhere, but the likes of you and Piratis will always point the finger.

Forgive me for coming into this a bit late but was this not just a case of bungling incompetants who wanted to extract money from the Russian Gent via on line cash transfer. I may be wrong but I either read or heard that the individual was not, or claimed not to be, computer literate & was thereafter unceremoniously bundled out & dumped. The original report, as pasted here at the begining, I would suggest incorporates copious amounts of artistic licence. After all why let any truth get in the way of a good story.
That is not to say extortion does not happen in the South of the Island, it most certainly does & in many shapes, guises & forms, most co-incidentally related to the property industry, but that's another story.

Zan, I was trying to provoke Piratis with this story. These are 'legal' illegalities. Its ok, but not in the North its not. Piratis must be hibernating still.
