Fahrenheit 9/11 documentary

"One of the most controversial and provocative films of the year, Fahrenheit 9/11 is Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore's searing examination of the Bush administration's actions in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. With his characteristic humor and dogged commitment to uncovering the facts, Moore considers the presidency of George W. Bush and where it has led us. He looks at how - and why - Bush and his inner circle avoided pursuing the Saudi connection to 9/11, despite the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and Saudi money had funded Al Qaeda. Fahrenheit 9/11 shows us a nation kept in constant fear by FBI alerts and lulled into accepting a piece of legislation, the USA Patriot Act, that infringes on basic civil rights. It is in this atmosphere of confusion, suspicion and dread that the Bush Administration makes its headlong rush towards war in Iraq - and Fahrenheit 9/11 takes us inside that war to tell the stories we haven't heard, illustrating the awful human cost to U.S. soldiers and their families."

I have been putting off watching this film Niki because I knew it would make me angry and feel helpless for two reasons. One is of course Bush himself and the corruption but the other is because I knew it would be unfair and sensationalist. I have watched the first two you posted so far, because you made it too convenient for me to ignore it any longer. I did watch that Super size me" about MacDonalds and that is why I knew this was going to be more of the same.....I mean...The guy was surprised that he put on two stone after eating burgers three times a day for months.....

The first part of the film showed Bush and his administration and the USA in it's true light......Bloody infuriating....Democracy rules ha!!!

The second was the sensationalist part that takes everything away from the real picture.....The bit where Bush is told that a second plane has hit actually makes him go into shock. If you watch closely, he first looks at the children and makes an almost imperceptible move to leave but thinks better of it...Then he goes into himself......I don't believe that he is such a saint as to be thinking about the victims but of himself..."My god....What have I done...Why didn't I take notice of the report and how the hell am I going to get out of this one.My presidency is over...Poor me. Heads will roll".......IMHO!!
