Cypriot food in UK

Postby Alex L » Tue Apr 19, 2005 11:07 pm

Could someone give me some ideas about where to buy Cypriot food in London and the South East? I'm well acquainted with the unrivalled selection of food on Green Lanes in North London, but are there other bakeries/delis/restaurants in London or the SE that people could recommend?

I would have thought you'd be happy to escape the Cypriot cuisine :-) Or, are you having withdrawal symptoms from oil?

Is it just me, or does anybody else from the UK hate the food over here?

Personally I'd kill for some souvlakia... not much around up here in the sticks... although my wife did cook a mean kleftiko in the oven on Sunday, just like the real thing...Image

Still, we've got a relative coming over soon, so we'll have plenty of sheftalia to scoff...Image

Brother = boring!!!

Who cares how far back your Cypriot family tree goes? Not in the slightest bit interesting.

I don't see why you have taken me expressing my disliking for Cypriot food so personally, it's not like you invented olive oil - or maybe your great great great grandfather did, hahaha!! Why don't you check your family tree and let me know!!!

Get over it, bawbag!
