Verne J. Troyer (aka - mini me) (born January 1, 1969) is an American actor and stunt performer. Verne is notable for his height of 2 ft 8 in (0.81 m), the result of dwarfism making him one of the shortest men in the world. As a professional actor, he is most noted for playing the character of Mini-Me in the Austin Powers films.

Troyer (aka - mini me) was born in Sturgis, Michigan, the son of Susan, a factory worker, and Reuben Troyer, a repair technician.[1] He has two siblings, Davon and Deborah. He grew up in Centreville, Michigan and graduated from high school in 1986. He worked at Taco Bell from the age of 16 until he was 21. Troyer and his long term girlfriend are expecting a child

Troyer married Genevieve Gallen on February 22, 2004, but filed for an annulment on February 23, 2004; in order to foreclose any claim on the part of Gallen that she married him, saying that Gallen had fabricated the claim for her own financial gain.[2]

Verne Troyer's little confession about life as a sex machine: he had 5-in-a-grotto orgy at Hef's mansion. Shortly after his high school graduation in 1987, Verne moved with some friends to Arlington, Texas, where, in 1993, he got his first break into showbiz as a stunt double for a 9-month-old baby on a film called Baby's Day Out (1994). Troyer is best known for his role as "Mini-Me" in the hit comedy Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). He has also had roles in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Troyer (aka - mini me) is currently appearing in the UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother. He was the 3rd person to enter the house on launch night, 2 January 2009, just one day after his 40th birthday. Troyer entered the house via a ramp after declaring that he "doesn't do stairs" and moves about the Big Brother House using a mobility scooter.

On 21 January 2009, there had been complaints from Verne's fans about him making a disgusting display of him kissing a doll.[4]
