Would it be appropriate to remind readers of each others views ??
I shall not post the offending post by GR in which he clearly states that THE ONLY OPTION LEFT TO THE ROC IS WAR .

My position is that a solution must be negotiated on the political arena
using the EU and the International community and most certainly not war.
Now let us see who wants a military war or the political war we are currently involved in.

Thank you Miltiades.

I think your summary is a slight biased over-simplification, but thanks nonetheless. My argument, as I am sure you have read elsewhere, is that we must prepare for war in case all else fails. Hence I find myself leaning more towards GR.

By the way, this Poll was set up at the request of Oracle. :)

Well done Simon :D ... it does make more sense as the two proponents have the common enemy of Turkey ... which is the keeper of the TCs ... and therefore they cannot give an unbiased viewpoint.

I will cast my vote shortly.

Not meaning to nit-pick... but have you enlisted the help of Admin to prevent any backstabbing, less than honest Turk-TCs from actually sneakily voting? :?

We are already in a war which started in 1974 when Turkey invaded our country. What we have now is just a cease fire in the war.

The question is when and how this war will end. There are 2 ways:

1) To apply international law, human rights, democracy and legality, ending the war without anybody winning or losing anything.
or

2) To get to some different kind of agreement by means of brute force where one side will win the war and another side will lose the war.

My choice is the first option. But if the Turks choose the option of war by keeping 1000s of occupation forces on our lands, then they should know that we will fight the war for as long as it takes and that they have no chance of actually winning, but on the contrary they will continue to be the bigger losers.

Simon , it is not what GR stated , you are missing the whole point . The guy states clearly unequivocally that the only option left is war , its not about preparing in case all options fail , but it is that all options have failed , and that war is the ONLY OPTION LEFT. Readers must be able to have the correct views not views altered.
Here is partly what GR posted "

"""""Any illusions of a complex inter-communal political arrangement being implemented in Cyprus is now history, Turkey’s EU make-believe journey is over, and it is now a race to get the upper hand in technology, political influence, and in the overall balance of power because unfortunately it’s become apparent that Cyprus can only be liberated in the same way it was enslaved… through bloodshed! """"

Go on now my fellow G/Cs , cast your vote for war or against. Remember that the world is watching !!!!

Miltiades, I believe you stated previously that war can NEVER be an option against Turkey. Hence this is why I cannot vote for you. I believe that it would be totally naive to take this option from the table completely.

What if Turkey stated that the current status quo is final and there will be no more negotiations, thus also giving up on joining the EU. Where would you go then? Hence, the military option must remain.

Yes the results look decidedly similar to the ENOSIS referendum ......

(... even if a few TCs have accidentally, un-awarededly voted ... )
