I have Sky+160 and a normal Sky reciever with a Sky+ 4LMB dish. Is there any way this will work in Cyprus? Now I seriously doubt the dish (too small I take it), but what about the boxes? Really wouldn't like to lose Sky+....

Cheers

You need a dish over 2 meters to get Sky in Cyprus. However I believe your receiver should work here also.

Hi

I use SKY+ here, no problem; however, if you want the full range of SKY programmes you need a big dish: minimum 2.7m in Paphos rising to 4m on the East coast.

However, as far as I know it, is impossible to get 'Room extra' or whatever SKY call it, so my additional SKY+ box in the bedroom does not function. I would have to take out a separate subscription rather than the £10 upgrade, to get SKY+ in a second room.

It's called MultiRoom.

Hmmm. Thinking of Limassol. 2-4 metre dish sounds pretty big. Are you allowed to put these on the sides of apartments?

Cheers

A 3-4 meter dish (which is what you will need) can not be put on the side of anything - it's simply too big - regrdless of any laws. You could put it ontop of a block of apartments possibly or on the ground but not on the side - without major strcutural work that is.
