Do Turks descend from Mongoloids?

I have heard many who state this but I was wishing to confirm? Do Turks descend from Mongoloid Barbarians like Genghis Khan? This would explain a lot. Thanks!

i dont think they are from the mongoloid race but from the mongoloid area(mongolia),there is a difference. other people can live in mongolia but they are not necessarilly of mongoloid race, at least this is what i remember from school!during summer when i go home i will try to check the book again
