I didnt mean it literally, what i meant was the turkish league, like many other in europe such as england, scotland, spain and even greece are usually dominated by 2 or 3 teams. In Turkey, Trabzon is not one of those 2 or 3 teams (they are gala, fener and besiktas). Unfortunately also in Turkey the gap between the top 2 or 3 and the rest is quite substantial, so to assume that just because a team your support (eg GC Anorthosis) beat Trabzon does not in any way, shape or form mean that your team can also beat Gala, Fener or even Besiktas. By comparing comapring Trabzon to Gala or Fener you're not really comparing apples with apples.

Yes, and Anorthosis did not just beat Trabzon. They thrashed them 3-1. It was obvious that there was a big gap between Trabzon and Anorthosis. Therefore, Galatasaray and Fener should be right up Anorthosis alley.

Yes you may be right there. I guess the only way I can explain this anomoly is that Anorthosis may still be playing for their shirt, especially when up against a Turkish side.

Considering that Gala and Fener may be better sides than Trabzon, then I will only predict a 2-1 defeat to the poor and unfortunate Turkish side which has the misfortune to be drawn against Anorthosis.

Firstly Plonker none of us Cypriots give a toss if Greece is in or out , the way they played they deserved to be out. It is only a game Plonker and many of us Cypriots see it as that , just a game, visit the" good luck Turkey thread" and you will see , on the other hand , bloody foreigners like you just dont see it do they !!

Can you please stop making such stupid comments. If you choose to not identify at all with Greece then that is your business but please refrain from making such sweeping statements.

Whilst you choose to alienate your self from hellenic culture and heritage, I can assure you that the majority of Cypriots do not wish to do the same.

Listen Moron , why on earth are my comments stupid regarding Greece's ' football failure , they were absolute crap and deserved to be out. As for me identifying with Greece and stating that we Cypriots do not give a toss if Greece are out , that is correct. You want to be like Big Al , EricDayi nd Pauul and fly your foreign rug that is your prerogative. Cyprus has to stand on its own feet and be proud of its own identity not rub itself round Greece's and Turkey's aprons. I have always called my self a Greek Cypriot but stone me if I'm going to call my self , as you do , a Greek.
ps. I think Rambo is going to be after you mate , he is not that Greece friendly !!

You call yourself a GREEK CYPRIOT. That is just dandy, because so do I. Fantastic, because by doing so you accept that Cyprus is predominately Hellenic in culture and heritage.

The mere fact that you wish to cut your cultural ties is absolutely your prerogative, but the majority of Cypriots will not do the same. After 3,500 years of Hellenic history on the island, and under just about constant oppression from foreign powers and invaders, has not been enough to destroy Hellenism in Cyprus, and neither will the Turks or Miltiades destroy Hellenic culture. I respect the TC that considers them self Turkish as much as the GC who considers them self as Greek or purely Cypriot. It is difficult to suppress your identity as a Cypriot and as a Hellene.

It must pain you to know that the Cyprus national anthem is the same as that of Greece, and that the Greek Flag is flown everywhere. Get use to it you moron, because this is not going to change.

As DT said, I am proud of being Cypriot and of my Hellenic roots.

The official flag of Cyprus is the flag of Cyprus. As for the national anthem being that of Greece is not only absurd but hypocritical since we present to the world the image that Cyprus is an independent nation that all of Cyprus is part of the ROC , how on earth do we then expect the T/Cs to go along with this and accept that the anthem of Greece represents them too !!!
Let me reiterate once again. I'm a Greek Cypriot but first and foremost I'm a Cypriot who considers Greece as a foreign nation closely related to all Greek Cypriots.
Along with all of Cyprus I too supported the national team of Greece 4 years ago and no doubt would do so again in the future , but not blindly.

You have now uncovered what a low life worm you really are. You state that you do not blindly support Greece. This is purely your business to not do so.

HOWEVER, YOU BLINDLY SUPPORT THE USA, UK and ISREAL in their gross violations against humanity. GO FIGURE. :? :? :?

YOU HAVE NOW GRADUATED TO OFFICIAL CF WORM STATUS. Congratulations!

RE MALAKA , we are talking about football here and yes in case you missed it I supported Greece 4 years ago , in fact I was in a T/C owned restaurant / bar called BAR 61 , the owner , Mehmet and his 3 sons supported Greece against the final match with Portugal , when I asked why are you supporting Greece Mehmet , he replied , because you do my friend and I don't want you to feel disappointed. !!
I did not support Greece's stand during the Yugoslavia fiasco and neither do I support Greece's position in relation to many many issues .
Greece is not my country , my country and birthplace is Cyprus and Greece has been a hindrance to the future of Cyprus , our major catastrophe can be blamed on the Junta in charge of Greece at the time .
I'm not going to enter into a useless discussion with you since it appears that you have been greatly influenced by destructive voices on this forum.
You want to debate then I will debate just do me a favour and cut out the
insults , I can dish them out just as you can just remember .
ps. So you are now saying that the USA , the UK and Israel have violated fundamental human rights by their actions , I SUPPOSE THEY HAVE NOT CONTRIBUTED MUCH TO HUMANITY ACCORDING TO YOU !!

contributions to humanity please.....list them Milt.(especially Israel??)

Asking Miltiades this question, I have no doubt that he would come up with such a long list, including the "Amerikaniko Daktilo" for which he is eternally great full and as a result he is more than eager to offer his thanks by prostituting himself and supporting them ever so BLINDLY as he admitted earlier.

Good to see you sticking up for your team Paphitis but it seems that you arent being entirely objective, but if you think your team can beat Gala or Fener then good on you. Most people and bookies wouldnt agree with you but you have to right to think whatever you want, im not going to argue with you because when it comes to football if you're anything like me you wouldnt even entertain the thought that other teams are better than your team. I am huge Arsenal fan and i have a few man utd supporters as friends, to most people and bookies Man utd would be favourites to beat Arsenal if they played tomorrow but there's no way i would believe arsenal would lose.

Miltiades, I have to say you totally contradict yourself on many levels. One minute you say that you are a Greek Cypriot and Greece is closely related to all Greek Cypriots, and even that you supported them 4 years ago; then in another breath you say Greece has nothing to do with Cypriots, so us Cypriots do not care whether they are out?? Further, in football terms, you should be supporting your team blindly. Anything else is simply glory hunting.

I am a Greek Cypriot; for anyone who is unsure, it means I am of Cypriot nationality and Greek ethnicity. We Cypriots are Greek, and to try to state that we are Cypriot not Greek, is equivalent to telling an English man he is British not English! He is both so it just don't work separating the two!

By the way, the ITV coverage of Greece's matches was extremely disrespectful. Jealousy I feel as Greece 4 years ago with no so called "stars" did what England have never done with supposedly 11
