Why not ask oracle after all she is the font of all knowledge.

The constant degrading of posts that start off as absolutely nothing to do with the Cyprus problem and turning them into Turk hating propaganda is unnecessary and is oracles main failing .

Her recent vicious attack on Connors post was disgusting and getting very personal with her outrageous claims ~ not the sort of response I would expect from a supposed intelligent woman.

Her apparent hatred of anything British even though enjoying a ( so we are told ) excellent and obviously well paid job and claiming "the British love me for what I have done for them" is quite honestly unbelievable

Personally I think she is playing you all for fools

GR I have no problems with except his apparent solution to the Cyprus problem and find a lot of his posts very interesting BUT it's painfully obvious that he has been encouraged / egged on to a even more militant stance than usual by our lovely oracle .

To be honest she is a nasty piece of work that has spent the last 40 plus years enjoying the safety of the UK whilst you were suffering the indignities of the Turkish invasion ~ now she comes back here to defend Cyprus ~ read her posts ~ it's not hard to do the maths and figure out where she was during the troubles .

She has in effect got most of you spell bound with her apparent recent patriotism ~ I haven't heard her say how she had to dodge the bombs whilst fleeing for her life from say Famagusta like others I know had to ~ it's pretty safe watching it on TV in the UK.

Now you all are talking about the terrible two being banned ~ as far as I've read Admin have suspended GR for a "few days" and oracle for two weeks to let them cool down .

As for this forum ~ I believe it was a Cyprus forum that dealt with all the aspects of Cyprus life and not exclusively for the Cyprus problem although sadly it has crept into even the most innocent threads .

I enjoyed the mixture of both the political aspect and the various other parts of the forum but I'm afraid that many prospective forum members have been put off joining due to the apparent single mindedness of the political aspect being discussed in every thread

I'm surprised Admin waited so long as some of the comments have been well over the top ~ in fact I'm quite suspicious that oracle tiring of the forum has engineered her departure in the most spectacular fashion ~ thus leaving her followers aghast at their apparent loss ~ clever woman with out a doubt.

Admin decides what goes and what stays on the board based on their perceived appeal to their advertisers.

I decide what goes and what stays based on my own judgment of what is acceptable. I believe I am very tolerant as an Admin, more than most. Any more tolerance and the forum would be in total anarchy.

Many of the members that accuse me in this thread in the past have asked me to ban certain members. If you were more tolerant than I am then you wouldn't ask for such thing.

The Google Ads are there just to cover the costs of the forum and the website advertised on the footer is my own. Advertising has nothing to do with my decisions.

My issue is now with ADMIN, who has unjustly banned 2 members for daring to think outside the box and who actually made this forum interesting.

I demand that ADMIN explain the reasoning as to the unfortunate bannings. I also demand that the persecution of members that exhibit any backbone also desists.

Paphitis, if you were the Admin your judgment would be different and you would ban certain other members.

This is not a court and neither of us is a judge. By participating in this forum you accept that I have the authority to make certain judgments. If you do not like my judgments then you can either send to me a Private Message with your suggestions / complaints, or you can simply stop posting in this forum.

The reasons that Get Real was banned for a few days are explained to him in a detailed email I sent to him. Ask from him to forward to you that email.

The case of Oracle was simpler. I requested from her to be less provocative against certain groups of people especially in sections other than the Cyprus Problem. Her response was a request to delete all her accounts in the forum. Instead of permanently deleting her I just suspended her account for 2 weeks.

I will remind you our last rule:

The administrators and moderators have the final word - If you have a problem or a complaint, direct it to the administrator and/or moderators, not to the boards. They will then take the appropriate actions.
