DID YOU KNOW that the singer Irini who had an early 90's street-soul hit in the UK with '24/7 Love' and received Best Newcomer in the then Black Music Awards is currently living in my village of Lithrothoda :)

Favourite music

Postby jewel2005 » Tue May 10, 2005 7:13 am

Music is a very big subject. My kind of favourite music is this: I like Natalie Imbruglia, Mariah Carey, Tori Amos, Jewel (like my nick), some rock songs and a lot of 80´s. There are so many songs now that you cannot keep track. The main idea is to find those that you like!

Hi Cannedmoose,

Can't say I like Dalaras and Mitropanos but there are some nice modern Greek songs at the moment. Eleni Papariou has got some good tracks and so does Despina Vandi.
You might like a singer called Thanos Penderis actually!

Hope I got there names right!!!! :?

To Marina2005. Marina mou, you did not spell the names correct. It is Eleni Paparizou and Thanos Petrelis :)

I like Eleni Paparizou for reasons other than music

Isn't she performing Greece's Eurovision entry this year? After Rouvas last year, maybe the guy's will get some eye candy this time...

Vandi is good. Have you heard any of Nikos Vertis' album, some good stuff on there. I've got about 1,000 tracks of Greek music so you could say I'm a bit of a fan...

Haven't heard of Petrelis, I'll check it out.

Since she is performing at Eurovision, it could be quite difficult to disguise admiring looks...
