But more importantly ... Fidel Castro was born on this day in 1926, so Happy Birthday.

And if he was still alive, Makarios would have been 95 years old today!

I'm hoping that I will look back on today happily and I apologise to Oracle for maybe trivialising her thread but I feel about 10 feet tall today.
For the first time in I can't remember how long I have a date with someone who appears to be normal. I've met him twice in a business situation and he shows no signs of being either gay, married, a swinger or a cross dresser.
He's an antique dealer and blames the fact that he had a bad day on Sunday at a fair on finding me so incredibly attractive that he couldn't stop looking at me and coming over to talk to me, so therefore not concentrating on customers.
