Kikapu .... Get Ready for a BIG BANG!

Postby Oracle » Fri Sep 05, 2008 2:06 pm

Next Wednesday the Large Hadron Collider gets fired up under Geneva. :D

Colliding protons will recreate events during the BIG BANG! 8)

Some theorists predict a mini Black Hole will be created which will grow and expand as it swallows up the universe around it.

From the land which gave us cheese with holes ....

I hope there is no knock on effect to Ementaler production, I cannot live without good cheese.

Knowing a bit about meltdowns, I wonder if the Swiss will make a 'Fondue' of it. :?

How can a small black hole swallow the universe when there are black holes everywhere in the universe???

I saw the program on it and they are after finding the
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higgs_boson which apparently gives mass to particles and explains nearly all the physics we know. The chances of a black hole forming are pretty low. Some scientists are exited by not finding it as well because it will mean starting again.

Just thought that Stella might be after turning this a bit serious thats all!!

Yeah .. and who knows how MANY universes they swallowed up in the past

The Black Hole will start off the size of the smallest Higgs Boson then expand as it swallows up all that cheese and chocolate

They don't know what will happen as this is a first!
Marie Curie used to carry radioactive samples in her pockets ... and she died of a radiation induced blood disorder.

Physicists don't know everything!

Just because someone speculates the existence of a subatomic particle like Higgs with his Boson ... it doesn't mean we can charge in bombarding protons together.

Anyway I want a subatomic particle named after me too ..... 8) ... You can have the Zan Moanon
