Hey All! Forum newbie here, although I have been reading the forum for a few weeks now. I was over in Cyprus in April for my honeymoon, we stayed in Protaras and everything was included in our package deal. We set off for Cyprus again next Wed (24th) for our friends wedding in Protaras but this time we booked through a different company and transfers are not included. Basically I'm looking for some good local knowledge to point me in the right direction. As far as I can find out, the bus service stops at something like 4.30pm. That is no use to us as we don't arrive until shortly after 6pm. Would anyone know the price, or could find out, or even point me to where I could find the price of a taxi to Protaras from Larnaca? Our travel company have transfers we can book but they are rather on the high side so I am trying to find if I can save money by just booking a ride when I arrive. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi Norn_iron,

If you look on ebay just type in cyprus and then go on to the travel section there some one on there that is doing transfers to and from larnaca airport i see them my self when i was looking for a villa to rent. Good luck

unfortunately that was fruitless. Ebay is void of any cyprus transfers. Looks like an expensive taxi is the only option unless anyone has any other suggestions. I fly tomorrow.

I was in Protaras on Tuesday and talking about taxi transfers. The hotel I was at have quoted 45 Euros at the airport I was told the normal is around 55 - 60. Suggest an e-mail to the hotel, or I can let you have a number I was given. Don't think I can put it on the forum as it is an individual.
I was lucky going from Larnaca to Protaras by Intercity bus, then on the return Protaras to Larnaca which connects with only 20 minutes to spare with the Larnaca to Limassol.
Enjoy your stay, I go in June again but if I see a cheap flight inbetween I will grab it.
Just done Easyjet which I booked in Feb, for £77 return including taxes.

thanks again. I've returned home after a lovely 6 day in Cyprus, ended up that I rode my luck and got onto a transfer bus at the cost of 20euro each each way, worked out well.
