P.S. I urge you all to sponsor a donkey, they do have a hard time of it in Cyprus... Image

They sure do have a hard time in Cyprus. I know a guy who owns a donkey farm. He takes in retired donkeys. I thought it was sweet of him at first, until I discovered that he slaughters them for Russian tourists. Apparently the Ruskies pick a donkey, have it slaughtered, eat the meat and take the skin back to the motherland with them!!!

:( :( :(

Needless to say, this guy is now well and truly off my Christmas card list!

The answer is 334 apples, Marinella. It was given on the first page here and caused much excitement :)

I've never heard about it.. and didn't expect Russian tourists to like such kind of entertainment. If it is true it is really sad :(

P.S. Sorry for stepping away from the main topic

lol

sorry about that christie ill try to be more careful next time!

oh and the mathematically correct answer is indeed 533 1/3 but you cant really sell 1/3 of an apple.

our prof accepted 533 and 534 as the correct answer so either one should be fine :-D
