Why don't Cypriots behave more like Greeks anymore?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

That is something that is common amongst all Hellenes.

Our inner strenght and earthiness. This is our survival mechanism. No other race can endure 4 centuries of foreign occupation and oppression whilst still maintaining their self identity.

The Church also played its role despite some members being critical of the institution, just to be fashionable. Without the church, then things may have been very differant.

My Personal experience is that the people of the Greek islands that i have come into contact with while visiting have been open and friendly and helpful. There appears to be a different attitude than that i have found in (Roc)Cyprus.
The Greek islands were occupied by Germans and Italians during the war, but i didnt see any animosity towards them while i was there.
I have met some wonderful people here in Cyprus, warm and generous, but once i am out of my 'area of recognition' then it sometimes becomes a different story.

Our inner strenght and earthyness.

No, I have not undermined the Cypriot Strength one bit.

I beleive in the islands Hellenic roots and through this we derive our strength and identity.

Some individuals however do undermine the Cypriot Strenght of character by adopting a defeatist ethos or from rejecting the islands Hellenism just to appease the Turks, or because they have some chip on their shoulder and blame Greece for our predicament.

I think you will find that you have a lot in common with both Bananiot and Miltiades.

You are in pole position to take "The Plonker of The Year Award", a title defended so admirably by Miltiades! The CF needs a replacement, so keep it up ANEMOMILO.

Every ones different at the end of the day, every one was raised differently but I feel that the Cypriots in Cyprus were raised better than those who were raised in the UK. Every time I use to visit my cousins in Cyprus they just use to be so free, safe and love & protection was every were.

The abbreviated format of my alias is indeed most unfortunate… :(
