When a team is holding its passing to the 16 of the CL in its pocket, and instead of building a wall in its defense for the last 5-10 minutes, to secure it, plays openly as if nothing is at stake, then it is not a serious and experienced team but stupidly adventurous and overambitious. It is the same thing Cyprus did against Italy, and in the end it lost a game it shouldn’t have had. Trying to play teams of multiple budgets to yours on the same footing, as if they are the teams of the Cypriot league and ignoring the fact that all they need is half a chance to score, is not regarded as modern football but sheer stupidity. Ketsbayia needs to learn that “the end justifies the means.”

Our defense was good but once they were gifted a penalty the game was ruined... there's no way they would've come back in any other way.

That was no fucking penalty, the guy was not IN the penalty box or in any position to threaten Ano and this ref is meant to be “world class”… a world class ass more like!

Don't worry! A greek or greek cypriot team will be in the next round of CL!

The mistake was to take Savio out. After than Ano could not keep the ball and organise. Things are very difficult now. In the games in the champions league groups and the qualifying round Ano never lost in Cyprus. But away they never won any big team. The max they got was equal and now with equal they will not qualify. They need to win!! I think the qualification was lost in this game They could win but they didn't But hope always dies last! So when is the game with Pana?

completely agree with you Soto, Savio should nevr had been taken out and I suspect that coming from an injury he probably requested to be taken out himself. Ketsbaia did nothing wrong through the entire game. He played the first half with no strikers knowing that Werder would get nervous entering the 2nd half 0-0.

Oh and BTW it was a penalty. The camera showed it from the oppossite and was misleading.

What would have been wrong if Ketsbayia had chosen to play a total "catastrophic" football during the last 5 minutes?

PS: Savio, as a matter of fact, did not like at all his substitution. It was obvious from his reaction when he was called out.

Actually it is the in-between games that count, in which case Bremen has the advantage with 2 goals away. First game was 0-0.

Don't see why not since its Anorthosis speciality to play the negative game (also known as the Greece 2004 game) His Froussos substitution was spot on but Nicolaou for Savvio while Savvio is uninjured?????? What the hell was he thinking? Nicolaou "the zombie" died 3 years ago and no one's bothered to tell him, just look into his eyes.
