Those of you who have read the book, can you please tell us what this paragon of culture says about the abritrary changes of place names in the north?

It sounds like a sick joke.

He doesn't say anything. It's a list. He lists the names of most/all of the villages in Greek, Turkish, and "ancient"(?) (whatever the best-known version of the old foreign name is), first in their Greek-language alphabetical order, then in their Turkish-language order, then in alphabetical order of their foreign names, then has a key, then has a map with the Greek and Turkish names on them. It's just a place-finder.

I find this book as an excellent source of historical information as far as location names are concerned in ancient Cyprus...
It is cleverly organised so that it can be use by anyone speaking Turkish/Greek or English.

This book is mainly about ancient location names used throughout history.

Mind your language please . The real problem we have is that the building in Lefkosa containing information of births in lurucina had burnt down. We are not on a crusade to prove anything to do with the cyprus problem. So I repeat once again if you have nothing constructive to contribute on this subject please go somewhere else. There are plenty of forums for that.
As to my language ability, Oracle upset me by trying to hijack my forum regarding the above. If you should spend any more time on this matter kindly seek some help. Believe me you do need it.

Halil, thanks for that information. All information is good. It can allways be checked for accuracy.
Strange you should say that becausu as a kid, I do remember mum making macaroni. So there.
