How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

So Republic of Cyprus enters the EU today. Although I don't agree that Republic of Cyprus can represent the whole Cyprus and TCs in the EU, I still want to congratulate the GC side for entering the EU. 1974 was a disaster for the GC community both economically and socially, and it wasn't easy to rebuild everything from scratch and create a European level economy in the south.

Thanks! It truly wasn’t easy.

The first steps of the Republic of Cyprus were a disaster in general, for both GC and TC and the wounds have not closed yet.

Now the European Union of 450 million people is moving closer together in not only economical but also political terms. After two world wars, the Nazis and fascists, and the cold war the Europeans are now united.

If the 450 millions of Europeans from Portugal to Lithuania can live together, I think there is no excuse into separating Cypriots. We have in common more things than what we have with any other European.

Republic of Cyprus belongs to both GC and TC and we are entering the EU together. It is time to tell to the foreigners that Cyprus belongs to all Cypriots and only to Cypriots and to finally solve the problem that creates so many injustices to GC and TC.

In the main celebrations in Nicosia will participate Turkish Cypriot singers as well: Umut Albayrak, Zelis Senot and Ersen Sururi. Turkish Cypriots are welcomed to the celebrations since we are all EU citizens now. Since TC will benefit greatly from Cyprus EU membership (probably more than any GC) I believe TC have many reasons to celebrate as well today.
