The Australian open might be exactly what Baghdatis needs at this point. It should be a good opportunity for him to regain some form, match fitness and confidence.

Marcos has always been a favourite amongst Australian crowds. It is almost as though he is playing at home. He has a massive fan base and this should lift his spirit.

Good man. 8)

But it is old news.

BTW, most Australians agree with Marcos Baghdatis sentiments that all Turkish Military MUST get out of Cyprus.

Aussies absolutely adore Marcos and have adopted him as their own son. Even when he plays Leyton Hewitt, there are still hundreds of loyal Anglo Aussie supporters cheering him on. 8)

There are even spectators at his training sessions.

It's not just the Hellenes that love him.

The Aussies must think he is representing Australia. They adore him. :D

Australian Open Score Update.

Marcos Baghdatis 3

Robin Soderling 6

Robin has one the first match 6-3!

The second set has just begun and Marcos Baghdatis has lost service and is trailing 1-0 in the second match. :(
