what i meant was that they were 3 of the members from EOKA. and they were...... Grivas, Drakos and Afxentiou. they were the 3 top people (grivas the leader) of EOKA. another lil fact for you people. grivas signed letters "The Leader Digenis" after a fictional character from greek stories. Digenis Akritas was supposed to defend the greek emprie. his surname Akritas was used by Sampson to name his plan for when he became 'president'

Thanks for the history lesson but you seem a little confused about the 'Akritas' plan. This plan was not sampsons plan for when he became president following the coup in 74. The Akritas plan pre dates this by 10 years or so and was a GC plan for how to achive unilateral ammendment to the consitituion (removal of TC communites 'blocking' rights) and removal of treaties of alliance and guarantee to allow for ENOSIS to be implmented. Did you not read the link I gave you when you asked for information on the Akritas plan?

must say your a very knowledgebale person. i know it was not sampsons plan but he was a firm believer in it. he also made his own 'akritas' plan. he wanted to remove everybody from cyprus who was not greek then EOSIS with greece. sampson wanted a violent not democratic implementation of the plan
