Foods I cannot find in limassol

Postby sneezing7 » Wed Jun 01, 2005 2:54 pm

Ok...after being here for some time now, there are still certain foods I cannot find. Any info would be greatly appreciated;

1) Milo
2) Beef Jerky
3) Duck
4) Tofu (fresh tofu...not that long life crap)
5) Vegemite (I guess that's a little presumptious of me)
6) Chinese Pork/Chicken buns
7) Bok Choi

Also, is there is Chinese/Asian grocer in Limassol at all?

Thank people!

Hi Manni. My partner is a Kiwi so she knows where you are comming from.

She has purchased Milo in the south and is pretty sure she has seen vegemite there as well. Not entirely sure where she bought the milo and saw the vegimite though.

Also we have a couple of 115g jars of vegimite here that people brought as gifts for my partner but actually she does not like it. You are welcome to these though I should warn you that they have a use by date of may 05 (though are unopened). PM if you are interested. I am comming to South Niocsia tomorrow btw.

Cheers mate!

As far as Vegemite is concerned the stuff is so salty I don't think it would ever go off!

I would come to grab it off you tommorow, but I got to work. All good... Next time i head North I will let you know!

If Kifeas is willing I could pass the stuff onto him and then you could get it from him which might be easier? I am going to be in UK from 8th June till 2nd July so it migh be better to get the stuff to the south at least?

Kifeas are you there? What do you think? Are you willing to hold this vegimite for Manni until he can collect it from you or you can drop it off to him?

Of course, you can find Marmite in all supermarkets. Vegemite is but a pale imitation of the original Marmite :P

Well as far as I can remember there was an asian store on one of the roads that go from the seafront to st. andrews....but 1. I dont know if it still exists, 2. not 100% sure if it was an asian store

But usually Chris cash and carry or orphanides have quiet a good selection of asian products....
